I’m a Corporate VP of a large medical device corporation and a working mother of 5 kids. I don’t have time to shop and I hate shopping. I started working with Michelle T. Sterling over 10 plus years ago in San Francisco. At the time I was living in Napa Valley so rather than have her come out to my home, I packed up my entire wardrobe and met her in her office. After 1 hour, she basically thought it was best for me to discard 80% of my wardrobe and start fresh for my role and the image I wanted to project. I agreed.
Working with her to rebuild my wardrobe was easy, efficient, and effective. She makes shopping seem simple and fun. She pre-selected a full array of clothing for me from Nordstrom and Macy’s. So, all I had to do was try on everything, get alterations, and pay for my purchases. She even mixed and matched all my looks for me so that I knew exactly what to wear.
Since then, we moved to the L.A. area. And she’s done the same process for me in L.A. and Orange County, maneuvering through my weight changes from size 12 to 2 and stabilizing at size 8/10. However, in the years to come it was difficult for us to sync up our schedules, so she started working with me virtually. I’ve been using her SHOP+SHIP+STYLE virtual styling service for the last 5 years to fill in the gaps in my wardrobe and for vacation clothes shopping. I did try Nordstrom’s Trunk Club for a bit, but I canceled it because they didn’t quite get my style the way Michelle does. They kept on sending the same style of shoes that were expensive. So, after buying a lot of the same style of shoes, I canceled the Trunk Club service. I love working with Michelle so much that I had my 20-year- old daughter work with her in 2020 because she hates shopping too.
